HERALDRY OF THE RULING NOBLES OF CALONTIR

Calontir has a long tradition of both having strong ruling nobles to guide the Kingdom, and of having a strong sense of heraldic display. Yet I find that many members of our populace today are not familiar with the devices of those who have guided our Kingdom. Following is a list of those nobles and their heraldic devices. Note that alternate spellings or versions of names are in parentheses.  Text in BLUE is a hyperlink to a picture of their heraldic coat-of-arms.

Following the initial Champion Tournament, it was established that the tournament would be named the Calon Tourney and that the winner of the tournament would be styled the Champion of Calontir until the next tournament was held. At that point the current Champion was installed as the Warlord of Calontir, which they would hold the title of until the next winner advanced. (The Calon Tourney winner served first as Champion, then as Warlord...done to prepare the method for which future winners of Crown Tournament would serve first as Prince, then as King.)
